A vast swathe of Dark forest, begining up in the North wastes and proceeding all the way down to the Southern shores, dividing Avelorn in half. At it's thinest it is five miles wide, and that is up in the perilous north, at it's widest it is nearly one hundred miles wide. It is inhabited by all manner of things. The Druchii find it suitable to move above ground in realative safety, the Wood Elves keep to themselves mostly along the Southern most reaches, and Men and Dwarves alike use a vast network of roads hewn out to trade between theirs and the eastern fiefdoms
